Q) Can you tell me what all the words mean on the side of my tyres?

Q) What are the advantages and disadvantages for changing my cross-ply tyres to radials?
A) Fitting radial tyres will usually give you improved grip and handling when the car is in motion, and they do not 'tramline' (following lines and grooves in the road) as much as cross-ply tyres, however you may notice that radial tyres generate more feedback at lower speeds, which may translate to heavy parking and more difficult low speed manoeuvring.

Q) How often do you ship out tyres?
A) Our courier collects from us daily, Monday to Friday at around 15.30pm. 

Q) Where do you ship to?
A) We ship everywhere in the world. 

Q) Can I have my order delivered to where I work?
A) Yes, we can deliver to your work address provided that it is a genuine address and can be verified.

Q) Do you store my card details?
A) We do not store or even get sent your card details, as the payment is processed with the bank within a few seconds whilst your are still online. Classictyres.com is fully PCI compliant.

Q) Can I pay by cheque?
A) Unfortunately, due to an increase in cheque processing costs we no longer accept cheques.

Q) If I'm not in when an item is delivered, can the item be left in a garage/shed/bin?
A) Unfortunately not. UPS require a signature for all the orders we send out. They can however deliver to a work address or even leave the parcel with a neighbour if you’re not in when they try to deliver. If this isn't possible, they will leave a 'we tried to deliver your parcel.............' card which will have instructions about picking your parcel up from them or arranging for re-delivery. 

Q) Do you keep all the items on your website in stock?
A) We stock around 90% of the items listed on our website.  Items we don't hold in stock are delivered to us within 1 or 2 days by our suppliers. But we will advise you via email if this is the case. If you want to check if we stock a particular item, email us at sales@classictyres.co.uk.

Q) I've bought a tyre and fitted it, but don’t like the size, can I send it back for a different one?
A) Items must return in a re-saleable or 'as new' condition, in the original packaging & still have any labels attached. If your return is marked, be warned, we may refuse it.

Q) What happens if I want to order an item & it's unavailable or out of stock?
A) In circumstances where items are out of stock, it will show as out of stock on the screen and you will not be able to add the item to the cart. If you wish to place an out of stock item on back order, please contact us with your requirements by email at sales@classictyres.co.uk and we will contact you when it is available.
